Team Standings

Team Standings are calculated using the following System:
Points assessed per game- Win = 3 points, 1 point = tie, and 0 points for loss
Ranking is calculated through total points accumulated, then goal differential, and finally Head to head.
Team Standings are in the Teams Pass portal.

Promotions/Relegation

Standard Promotion and Relegation policies are as follows:
  • Top two teams will ALWAYS go up, except for the Summer league which is a standalone season for purposes of pro/rel.
  • Bottom two teams will ALMOST ALWAYS go down, depending on league expansion/contraction
  • Additional teams may be promoted or relegated based on league expansion/contraction – for example, if a D1 team implodes and we are keeping the same number of teams in D1, then 3 teams will be promoted for D2 to D1, and then from D3 to D2, and so on.
  • There will always be an even number of teams across all divisions as much as is possible (i.e., 14 teams in D1, D2, D3, etc)
  • The league will expand from the bottom up – as the league moves to 16 teams/division, that growth will first be reflected in D4, then D3, etc.

Tiebreakers

Tiebreakers are as follows:
Two Teams
  • Total points
  • Head-to-head results GD3 (NOT total goal differential)
  • Fewest goals allowed
  • Yellow card point system (yellow = 1 pt, red cards = 3 pts. Two yellows making a red = 3 pts)
  • Coin flip

MultipleTeams
  • Total points
  • Most wins
  • GD3 (NOT total goal differential)
  • Fewest goals allowed
  • Yellow card point system (yellow = 1 pt, red cards = 3 pts. Two yellows making a red = 3 pts)
  • Draw straws
In the event that more than two teams finish tied on total points, teams are compared using the Multiple Teams tiebreaker list. Teams can be removed from this group by being either the best (i.e., most wins) or the worst (lowest GD3) in the group. When 2 teams remain, revert to the top of the Two Team tiebreaker chart.
